Upright, woody plant that develops into a small indoor tree. Multiple stems are commonly grown together and may be braided while young.

Moderate to fast under warm, bright conditions.
 
Placement
Best suited to a bright tabletop or plant stand while young and a floor position as it matures.
 
Leaf Size
Produces medium to large palmate leaves made up of several glossy leaflets.
 
Light
Bright indirect light is ideal. Gentle morning or late-afternoon sun is usually tolerated once acclimated.
 
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry well before watering again. Pachira stores moisture in its stems and generally copes better with being slightly dry than constantly wet.
