Habit
The Gold Superba is a more compact Snake Plant. Upright, clumping plant that grows from underground rhizomes. New shoots emerge from the base and gradually form a fuller clump.
 
Growth Rate
Slow to moderate. Growth is faster in warm, bright conditions.
 
Placement
Very adaptable indoors. Smaller varieties work well on tabletops and plant stands, while taller types make excellent floor plants.
 
Leaf Size
Varies considerably between varieties. Some remain compact, while taller types can develop leaves well over 1 metre long.
 
Light
Low to bright indirect light. Snake Plants tolerate lower light extremely well, although growth will be slower. Variegated varieties benefit from brighter light to maintain strong colour and contrast.
 
Water
Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering thoroughly. Snake Plants store water in their thick leaves and cope far better with being dry than staying wet.

Very sensitive to overwatering and prolonged wet soil. Cold, wet conditions can quickly lead to root or rhizome rot.
