Lucky Bamboo
 
Habit
Upright, cane-forming plant with leafy shoots emerging from the stems. Although commonly sold in water, Lucky Bamboo also grows very well planted in soil.
 
Growth Rate
Slow to moderate.
 
Placement
Best suited to tabletops, shelves and plant stands. Its upright growth makes it useful in smaller spaces where you want height without a wide plant.
 
Leaf Size
Produces narrow, strap-like leaves from the tops and sides of the canes.
 
Light
Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate lower light, although growth will be slower.
 
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry slightly before watering again. Avoid keeping the soil constantly waterlogged.
