Description
Philodendron Paraiso Verde

Habit
Growth habit varies between varieties and may be climbing, self-heading or crawling. Climbing varieties produce aerial roots and benefit from support as they mature.

Growth Rate
Moderate to fast under warm, bright conditions.

Placement
Very versatile indoors. Smaller plants work well on shelves and plant stands, while larger varieties may eventually need floor space. Climbing varieties will benefit from a moss pole or other support.

Leaf Size
Varies considerably between varieties. Many Philodendrons produce progressively larger leaves as they mature, especially when allowed to climb.

Light
Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. Variegated varieties benefit from brighter light to maintain strong colour and healthy growth.

Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry well before watering again. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Soil
Rays Retail Nursery’s Chunky Premium Aroid Mix

Feeding
Moderate to heavy feeder during active growth. Regular feeding supports stronger growth and larger leaves. Grab some Novion before checkout.

Humidity
Average household humidity is generally sufficient. Higher humidity can improve growth and leaf quality but is not essential for most varieties.

Sensitivities
Sensitive to overwatering and prolonged cold conditions. Variegated foliage may brown more easily than green leaves.

Pet Safe
No. Contains calcium oxalate crystals and can cause irritation if chewed or ingested by pets.

Rays Says
"Philodendrons are generally easy and forgiving houseplants. Give them good light, let the soil dry properly between waterings and feed them regularly. If you have a climbing variety, add a moss pole if you want larger, more mature leaves."
