Description

Syngonium Berry Illusion

Habit
Climbing and trailing aroid that often starts compact and bushy while young. As it matures, stems become longer and will naturally climb if given support.

Growth Rate
Moderate to fast under warm, bright conditions.

Placement
Very versatile indoors. Can be grown as a bushy tabletop plant if pruned regularly, left to trail from a shelf, or trained onto a moss pole as it matures.

Leaf Size
Small to medium while young, with leaves becoming larger as the plant matures. Mature Syngoniums may also develop more divided or lobed foliage.

Light
Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. Brighter light generally encourages stronger growth and better colour.

Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry well before watering again. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Soil
Rays Retail Nursery’s Chunky Premium Aroid Mix

Feeding
Moderate feeder during active growth. Regular feeding encourages stronger growth and larger leaves. Grab some Novion before checkout.

Humidity
Average household humidity is generally sufficient. Higher humidity can improve growth and leaf quality but is not essential.

Sensitivities
Sensitive to overwatering and prolonged cold conditions. Growth may become stretched if kept in insufficient light.

Pet Safe
No. Contains calcium oxalate crystals and can cause irritation if chewed or ingested by pets.

Rays Says
“Syngoniums are really versatile. Keep them pruned if you want a compact, bushy tabletop plant, let them trail if you prefer a softer look, or give them a moss pole if you want bigger, more mature leaves.”
