Habit
Climbing and trailing aroid that can be kept compact and bushy with regular pruning or allowed to climb as it matures.
 
Growth Rate
Moderate. Strongly variegated plants may grow a little slower than greener Syngoniums.
 
Placement
Best suited to a bright indoor position. Can be grown as a bushy tabletop plant if pruned regularly, allowed to trail, or trained onto a moss pole as it matures.
 
Leaf Size
Small to medium while young, with leaves becoming larger as the plant matures. Mature plants may develop more divided or lobed foliage.
 
Light
Bright indirect light is best. Variegated Syngoniums need stronger light to maintain good colour and healthy growth. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the pale sections of the leaves.
 
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry well before watering again. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Feeding

Sensitivities
Sensitive to overwatering, prolonged cold and harsh direct sun. White or very pale sections of the leaves may brown more easily than green tissue.
