Vermiculite
A lightweight mineral that helps hold moisture within a growing mix and release it gradually back to the roots over time. Its open structure can also help keep the mix light while increasing moisture retention.
Vermiculite is especially useful when a growing medium dries out a little faster than you would like.

Mix a small amount into an aroid blend for plants that prefer more consistent moisture, or use it in terrariums to help the substrate stay evenly damp for longer. A little goes a long way."
