Best suited to bright indoor spaces on a tabletop, shelf or plant stand. Ferns also do well in naturally humid rooms such as bathrooms, provided there is enough light.

Light
Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch or dry out the foliage.
 
Water
Keep the soil consistently lightly moist. Ferns do not like drying out completely, but should not be left sitting in waterlogged soil.

Moderate to high humidity is preferred. Higher humidity helps prevent crispy leaf edges and keeps new growth looking its best.
 
Sensitivities
Sensitive to drying out, low humidity and prolonged cold conditions. Brown or crispy fronds are often a sign that conditions are too dry. Avoid regularly pouring water directly into the centre of the crown, as this can encourage rot.

Yes. Most true ferns, including Asplenium and Silver Lady Ferns, are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
