Description

Keiki Paste

Keiki Paste is a lanolin-based plant growth paste designed to encourage dormant nodes or “eyes” on a plant to activate and produce new growth.

The word keiki is Hawaiian for “baby”, and the paste is commonly associated with encouraging orchids to produce new plantlets. It can also be used on suitable nodes of other plants where you want to encourage branching or new vegetative growth.

Depending on the plant and growing conditions, an activated node may develop into a new shoot, plantlet or flower spike.

How to Use

Locate a healthy dormant node or “eye” on the stem or flower spike. Apply a very small amount of Keiki Paste directly to the node, then continue caring for the plant as normal.

Results are not instant and can vary between plants. New activity may take several weeks to appear.

Good to Know

- Best used on healthy, actively growing plants.

- Only a small amount is needed.

- Apply directly to a dormant node rather than covering a large section of stem.

- Keiki Paste is intended to encourage node activity. It is **not a rooting hormone**.

- Results depend on the plant, season and growing conditions.

Rays Says

"Less is more with Keiki Paste. Choose a healthy node, apply a tiny amount and then give the plant time. Not every node will respond in exactly the same way, but it can be a fun way to encourage new growth or branching on suitable plants."
