Growth Rate
Moderate to fast during warm, active growing periods. Growth may slow considerably during colder months.
 
Placement
Best suited to bright indoor spaces on a tabletop, plant stand or floor depending on the mature size of the variety. Larger varieties can become substantial feature plants.
 
Leaf Size
Varies significantly between varieties. Smaller types may produce leaves around 20 to 30 cm long, while larger Alocasias can produce leaves well over 60 cm.
 
Light
Bright indirect light is ideal. Gentle morning or late-afternoon sun is usually tolerated once acclimated.
 
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to mostly dry before watering again. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.
